First manufactured in 1995, STICKIT has provided users
more options than
any
other device to facilitate immediate containment of
blood contaminated
sharps
at point of use. STICKIT is primarily a "conveyance
device" i.e., from
generation of a blood-contaminated implement to final
disposal. STICKIT is
portable and mountable at virtually any treatment or
emergency site. The
container's unique shape automatically orients all
needles, point-down.
Contents can be monitored (counted), through the
translucent polypropylene
base when held close to a strong light source.
STICKIT provides triple protection: 1) the guard/apron
helps direct needles toward the opening, 2) the familiar "fingered" one-way opening prevents sharps from inadvertently falling out, 3) the attached lid flips over the opening, snapping closed when all procedures are completed.
The STICKIT sharps container allows for safe and immediate protection from blood-contaminated needles and syringes at point of use.
The unique STICKIT container offers:
- Means of attachment to accessory equipment within arms reach
- Point down orientation of contents - by design
- Translucency for monitoring contents
- Positive closure for secure disposal
- The guard/apron to help direct needles toward the opening,
- The familiar "fingered" one-way opening to prevent sharps from
inadvertently falling out, and
- The attached lid to flip over the opening, snapping closed when all
procedures are completed.
STICKIT containers meet all current regulatory requirements for the containment of blood-contaminated needles and syringes.
A safe, sensible solution to needle stick hazards - the STICKIT brand sharps container.
Portable and Mountable at Virtually any Treatment or Emergency Site
A removable, multifunction clip, located on the back of
STICKIT enhances
point-of-use convenience. Double-stick tape (included)
can be combined with
the clip, when needed, to offer a multitude of
attachment options. Walls,
doors, counter tops, etc., all become potential mounting
sites encouraging
needle containment within easy arms reach. Securely
anchored, STICKIT
allows sharps to be inserted in the preferred
"one-handed" manner.
The
optional spring clip facilitates attachment to I.V.
poles, bed/cot rails, or
other tubular objects, vertically or horizontally. The
flap on STICKIT's
front, just below the opening, was designed for dividers
on procedure trays,
in bags and boxes. When "hooked" onto something,
STICKIT assumes a lower
profile than that allowed by the clip. Pockets in
"turnout gear", flight
suits, lab coats, etc., can carry clean, unused
STICKIT's due to its small
size, narrow profile and front flap. STICKIT is readily
accessible when hooked
over the edge of a pocket. STICKIT is not to be used
while attached to the
rescuer's person in any way.
Disposal is a SNAP!
STICKIT meets or exceeds all current standards for
sharps containment
devices, and conforms to FDA 510(k) requirements and
Good Manufacturing
Practices (GMP).
